Mizoram Urban/Rural Population - Census 2011

As per the Census 2011 out of total population of Mizoram, 52.11% people lived in urban regions while 47.89% in rural areas. The total figure of population of urban population was 571,771 out of which 286,204 were males while remaining 285,567 were females. In rural areas of Mizoram, male population was 269,135 while female population was 256,300.

The average sex ratio in urban regions of Mizoram was 998 females per 1000 males. Also the Child (0-6 age) sex ration of urban areas in Mizoram was 974 girls per 1000 boys. Thus the total children (0-6 age) living in urban areas of Mizoram were 75,147 which is 13.14% of total urban population.
